Products description

Control AQUAstar VLC Optimum

With the MULTICOM ECO, a control unit was deliberately developed that also meets future requirements.
Further developments in plant technology as well as increasing legal requirements can be easily realized
through program updates. The device is used to control SBR wastewater treatment plants.

The main points of the control AQUAstar VLC Optimum:
  • Plain text display
  • Operation via 3 buttons
  • Clear and easy menu navigation
  • Self-test of the controller
  • password protection
  • Operating log
  • Visual and acoustic alarm message
  • Mains failure detection

The function of the control unit depends on the software used. The controller saves all parameters in an
internal EEPROM. This will keep them even if the mains voltage fails. For display, the controller has a
two-line LCD display with 16 characters each. The display is in plain text.

Operation is via the 3 buttons. A flashing green LED indicates the operational readiness, a red fault.
After applying the operating voltage, the device carries out a self-test of the program memory.
During this time the text will appear on the display "Checking Rome". If this test passes successfully,
the controller starts the main program. If a checksum error is detected, the controller displays the determined
checksum for approx. 1 sec. And then attempts a restart.

Internally a buzzer is installed, which signals the alarm conditions.
The outputs are fused together with a fuse and are protected by a
common current transformer monitored.

As standard, the control unit is equipped with a fuse F1 = 3.15AT.
A maximum of 6.3 A fuse may be used.
However, the total connected load of the pumps / valves must not exceed 2,500VA.
